Sea lions are mammals characterized by their external ear flips and many others. Their range extend from the subarctic to tropical waters of the global ocean of both northern and southern hemisphere . They have alive span of about 20-30 years in the ocean .
It was from the basic lines that both the sea lions and the fur seal genus ,callorhinus ,are thought to have diverged .
